Just for You

The first time I met Ellen, she was wearing a macaroni necklace.
Ellen is a magazine editor.
That magazine is based in New York City.

Ellen is also a mom.
A handful of gifts from my kids.
Olivia gave me nail polish for my birthday.
She loves giving gifts.
I either have the midas touch or a nicotine sparkle.

What is the most memorable gift you've been given?
Have you worn it?
Have you displayed it in your home?
Are you wearing it now?

I love your presents from the kids!

I say I want to be surprised by gifts and that I don't want to know what they are and that I want someone to buy me a gift because they saw it and thought of me. That's what I say...but really I'm a gift receiving control freak!
Growing up with a sick mom, I always had the job of buying everyone's (including mine) gifts. I would moan and groan that I didn't have anything to surprise me under the Christmas tree. I would open my boxes knowing exactly what was in them.
To this day, I'm still buying myself presents and putting other people's names on the gift tags in the "from."
What a sad little control freak I am...

I just want to say how much I am enjoying your blog!!!! I love the manicure....I think I may have had that one once thanks to Jane. My friend Anne Marie gave me a late night post dinner manicure while the guys chatted once. It was Tiffany blue. I loved it so much I posted it on facebook.

Love your blog and your jewlery even more, probably a good thing i don't live close enough to attend your shows. My most precious gifts are the memories, especially the ones of my Mom, whom I don't think I appreciated until I was a mom and she was gone.
